Milano a Memoria is a film library, 2D and “5D” cinema (engaging digital 3D reconstructions plus movements of your chair and special air and water effects create the “5D” experience). The space is characterized by stage reconstructions of landmarks of the Milan cityscape – the Duomo, the Teatro alla Scala, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and the Castello Sforzesco. Videorama Lombardo shows “5D” virtual journeys in a total duration of 30 minutes.
MILANO E I SUOI MASTRI D'ARTE / MILAN AND ITS MASTER ARTISANS (5D)
Take a virtual journey through the history of the arts and crafts that have brought success to Milan through the centuries – including design, fashion, architecture, jewelery, engineering, mechanics. With this “5D” film adventure, you'll follow the footsteps left by the most famous characters in the history of the metropolis – Sant'Ambrogio, Constantine, Leonardo da Vinci, Alessandro Manzoni, Napoleon, and others.
The documentary film was created by Milano a Memoria LTD with the collaboration of the main churches and museums in Milan and surroundings (including the Cathedral of Milan, St. Ambrose, Santa Maria delle Grazie, Monza Cathedral, Teatro alla Scala, Biblioteca Ambrosiana, the Brera Art Gallery, and the Archaeological Museum).
The film was shot in 3D on location in the city, and includes 3D digital reconstructions of the Roman circus (with the chariot race), of the flight over the Duomo, and of the city of the future “Sant'Elia.” The whole experience is complemented by special effects in the theater – hi-tech air and water effects as well as movements of the seats in sync with the 3D images create the “5D” cinematic experience.
