The visit will take place in groups led by an archaeologist. The tour begins from the floor of the arena, the heart of the monument, where you can see the depth of the underground tunnels and cavities of the succession of arches inside the monument, made particularly attractive by the lighting in the evening. Your guide will describe the gladiatorial games, munera et venationes, who attended the games, the history and the architecture of this extraordinary monument that continues to fascinate the world. The tour also includes a visit to the exhibition "Colosseum. An Icon".

The calendar of confirmations is as follows:
- from March 9: reservations for March (English visits sold out)
- from March 23: reservations for April
- from April 6: reservations for the rest of the period until December 31.
IMPORTANT: You MUST show up at the Colosseum ticket office at least 15 minutes before the start of the visit. Otherwise, the reservation will be forfeited and ticket office will be free to resell tickets.
PLEASE NOTE: Confirmed time is not always the same time you requested; museum automatically confirms the closest available time on the same date if requested time is sold out. Tickets will be confirmed upon availability of museum. Please note time confirmed can be ANY TIME during night opening hours, in the same language of time originally requested.

Picking up of Tickets: You must pick up your tickets at the Colosseum Reservations Desk (to the left of the main entrance) no less than 30 minutes before confirmed time. You must present yourself with a PRINTED voucher in order to pick up your tickets.
SECURITY MEASURES AT COLOSSEUM:
- Mandatory metal detector security checks increase the waiting time in line at the exterior to access the monument.
- The "Skip-the-Line" aspect applies to the line at the ticket office, not the security checks.
- Backpacks, suitcases and large bags are not allowed.
- The monument can host a maximum of 3,000 people at any one time, this may cause delays in schedule.
IMPORTANT: The time you select on the order form is your preferred time. The monument will automatically confirm the closest available time, which can be any time during opening hours on the selected date, if your preferred time is no longer available.
