EXHIBITION CALENDAR:

Sunday, November 24th at 17.30 it will be the turn of the shadow theater with Racconti di Gianni Rodari. The two artists, Katarina Janoskova and Paolo Valli, who share experiences at European level in the field of figure and word theater will guide, through the expressive language based on the techniques of shadow theater, the little ones in a journey made up of stories taken from some famous fables and nursery rhymes by the famous writer Gianni Rodari.

It continues December 15 with Three Apples Fallen from the Sky a show that draws inspiration from some popular Armenian fairy tales learned during a journey made by the actor Giovanni Calcagno in the Caucasus. The actor and theater director, coming from the tradition of Sicilian storytellers, will thus stage a show that will tell of an adventure full of riches, a reflection of an Armenian culture, which has been the source of enormous influences for all humanity.

On 19 January it will be the turn of the Marionettistica Fratelli Napoli on stage with Pinocchio at the Opera dei Pupi, an interactive show of the Sicilian-style puppets that narrates the adventures of the most famous wooden puppet in the world. Through the traditional puppet opera technique, the renowned company will tell the story of Pinocchio who will first come across a puppet theater, well received and fraternally embraced by Arlecchino, Pulcinella and Rosaura and later in the world of Puppet Opera with his paladins and his stories. A new and fun adventure at the same time with actors, puppets, puppets and puppets for young and old.

The show will continue on February 16 with The Adventures of Pulcinella by Gaspare Nasuto, a Neapolitan artist and sculptor considered one of the great masters of the traditional Guarrattelle art, the Neapolitan glove puppets. Between magic and rituality Nasuto will revive the stories of the most famous mask in the world known for its particular voice obtained thanks to the "pivetta", an instrument that the puppeteer keeps at the bottom of the palate during the performances. The mixture of a surprising puppet movement technique and acting power make the show an incredible modern theatrical performance.

Penultimate appointment on March 16 with the Roman company Divisoperzero which will stage Efesto, a show loosely based on the history of Greek mythology. Francesco Picciotti through the technique of puppet theater will tell the story of Hephaestus, son of Hera and Zeus, god of fire and metallurgy. It is said that Hephaestus was one of the ugliest of Olympus and that he also had a very bad character. But he had the merit of being very good at working with metals and it will be this great skill that, through various adventures, at the end of the story will make him happy.

On 19 April, Doni from the company Is Mascareddas will close the exhibition, a pioneer in the dissemination and knowledge of puppet theater in Sardinia. Five stories narrated by Donatella Pau will animate puppets and objects: a story by Grazia Deledda, a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, a fairy tale of Arab setting and two legends of the folk tradition tell the gesture of the gift and the magic that accompanies it.
