Castiglion del Bosco extends over 1,800 hectares, with 62 of them dedicated to vineyards. It is one of the most prominent producers in Montalcino, both for the history of the estate and for its size, unchanged in the last 400 years.Since 2003, Castiglion del Bosco has been owned by Massimo Ferragamo, Chairman of Salvatore Ferragamo USA, who fell in love with the estate, its splendidly isolated woods and with its majestic ridges. The entire vinification process is carried out in Castiglion del Bosco’s cellar, completely gravity-fed. The grapes are quality-selected in the vineyards first, then the clusters travel to sorting tables where trained eyes make a further selection of the finest fruit. Fermentation starts with natural yeasts only, once completed, the wines are transferred to French oak in a spacious, climate-controlled cellar that is partially underground.
Castiglion del Bosco also offers a handful of remarkable accommodations and buildings in an unparalleled environment of Tuscan culture and natural beauty. Massimo Ferragamo restored the medieval borgo which now hosts a 5-star hotel beside the restaurants Campo del Drago and Osteria La Canonica. The latter is home to the Cooking School, for those guests who love great food matched with Tuscan culinary tradition. In addition, there is an exclusive Golf Club, spread out over 210 hectares of rolling hills, all designed by one of the most renowned figures in the golf world, British Open champion Tom Weiskopf.
Our signature wine tour. It is divided into three parts: a visit to our vineyard, a tour of the winery and a tasting. Walking through our spectacular Capanna vineyard you will discover the unique microclimate and soil that nourish the Sangiovese Grosso grape for Brunello di Montalcino, while admiring one of Tuscany's most stunning panoramic views, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. By visiting the cellars at the winery, you can learn how much attention to detail is required throughout the winemaking process; explore the cellar where our top wines are aged in French oak barrels and experience the incredible atmosphere of the exclusive "Member's Cellar". Finally we will serve you six glasses of our wines, sampled together with a fine selection of Tuscan cheeses, fresh bread, our homemade extra virgin olive oil and honey. Arranged at 11:00 and 15:00 only.

Cancellation Policy
- Once a confirmation code has been assigned to the reservation we can refund the cost of unused tickets minus a service fee (reservation fee and online booking fee) up to 2 business days before the visit.
- No refund is possible for a cancellation less than 48 hours before the visit, and for no-shows.
