The labyrinth is open from April to September, except for heavy weather or restoration works

For cancellations once a confirmation code has been assigned to the reservation, up to 2 days before the date of the visit, we can refund cost of unused tickets minus service fee (reservation fee and online booking fee). For further cancellations and no shows, no refund is possible.
Villa Pisani in Stra
The Brenta river runs from the Trentino in the Alps to the Adriatic Sea and connects Padua with the Venice lagoon. This final stretch of the river was the chosen place for patrician Venetian families to build their sumptuous summer homes in the 16th century. The Villa Pisani is the last one built, taking its name from Alvise Pisani, elected Doge in 1735. The design and plans were created by Girolamo Frigimelica, who began the building in 1720, inspired by Palladio's classic tradition. The architect Francesco Maria Preti continued the project in baroque times.
Inside the villa, the ballroom shows a ceiling fresco by Giambattista Tiepolo, representing the Glory of the Pisani Dynasty, with many of its members depicted recognizably.
The Villa had various important “guests” after the decline of the Pisani family - purchased by Napoleon, it was passed to the Habsburg family and then the Savoy in 1866, who donated it to the Italian State twenty years later.
The villa also boasts a large park, now visible in the 19th century reconstruction, with a series of paths with trees, rose bushes, nurseries, and a famous labyrinth, created by carefully trimmed boxwood hedges, mentioned by Gabriele D'Annunzio in his work "The Fire" (1900). Designed by Frigimelica, the park includes a dock on the Brenta river. Originally created in the tradition of Italian gardens, it was later transformed into an informal English Garden. The Villa Pisani Garden was awarded “The Most Beautiful Gardens in Italy” prize in 2008.
